Even though you've penned words associated with different weather, one is reminded of the harshness of nature's summer fury as well. California and Oregon fires have left the air for several hundred miles "pelted" with ash and residue that is raising "welts" of another kind in the lungs of the weakened. Love Nature, but don't don't mess with her.
Your poem exemplifies the "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune," that befall us and seem to follow the weather when we can be pelted by hail even though we are hale and healthy.
You are right. This goes with a person's temperament too. One minute we're fine, and in another minute, we will find ourselves something to be upset about. I have made up my mind not to let anything bother me so easily, and just enjoy life as it comes to me.
