Helping hands.

These hands have worked a lifetime
These hands have soothed a child
These hands have held a lover
Felt breezes warm and mild

These hands were once so pretty
These hands once felt no pain
These hands still join together
In prayer for all......Amen

I just read that prayer increases endorphins. Kind of a mental sedative. Your poem is delightful in its simplicity and respect for our elderly place so much experience.
