As rough as prison is, makes you wonder why there are so many repeat offenders. An intense poem, glad I've never been in one - for any reason.

Reform is in order... for the inmates as well as the system. A little honey-- a little sugar-- a little kindness has turned more people around than any amount of prisons and hand-cuffs. I've seen plenty of other-wise decent people who've made some bad choices, turn synical, bitter and hardened because of the way they've been treated in prison/jail.
Go visit someone there today! A little human kindness, for heaven's sake! --Charlie

such sad memories...I remember as a teen visiting my uncle in jail, I never knew why he was there,and I hated seeing him behind bars.It was a petty crime and he was only there a short time,but it left a huge impression on me hating prisons,and i always wondered why that didn't stop people from commiting crimes.Depressing thoughts...
