To wish for death...

 I’ve been this way since I was four,

Desiring death is what I am wishing for,

I was raped at that very young age,

I went through life in a constant rage.

 

No one did try to help,

In pain through so many years, all I did was yelp,

I wanted to of others kill,

As I could never find for my own use; a suicide pill.

 

Even my cousins did never know,

No one did know of my small body being constantly put through this pain,

All of it was of my body’s brain drain,

I was always of my changes hard to only do it which made me quite slow,

Knowing of this in my brain, I had wished and still do,

Just to be for the good of others, slain.

Don't let the scum win.
I imagine many other people need your help to overcome such evil.
You're brave and strong and a top bloke.

I’m really not quite sure how to respond to this,
Only to say how desperately sad it makes me feel for
that young child, and for the way this has followed you
all your life…
I also want to say that I think
you are very courageous to open up in this way…
I hope it helps a little to share this burden you have
borne since you were four…

OMG!!! Ed, I did not know that was what you had gone through as a young boy. This was heartfelt sadness that followed you through life. I hope you will find some ways to lighten up your life and not wish for death. It isn't worth losing your life over it since this happened long ago.

That's a heavy burden to bear. I've known of it for some time. When you leave us and don't write a poem or post it, I think you may have left us for good.



So in a way, I'm happy to see you writing again, but not happy with your conclusion. To think that with the right psychiatric help at the right time you might have overcome the burden placed on you when you were four.



I won't tell you what to do. But I know what I'd do.
