I hope that you will find something soon my friend for welfare...like disability pensions only trap the soul and break the spirit. Don't get me wrong I know both are necessary at times but so hard to hold your head high on either one of them.

You so well express the real problem of many people who keep looking and getting turned away. I wish people could understand rather than blaming good persons who are really trying to survive in this economy.

Know the feeling all too well, Ed. Luckily, for decades, I have always had two fall-backs when things got desperate. Apartment complex owners are always looking for people to baby-sit (manage) their properties (small salary, free apartment and free utilities, minimal real responsibilities which are easily figured out. And hotels are always looking for night auditors (graveyard shift, slow to boring, and the audit is simple and easy to learn). These two fall-backs have served me well for the past almost-four decades of gypsy-style life on the edge, always moving on to the next beckoning adventure. You are in my prayers, Ed. You can do this.

Cannot you create your own business on line and make money somehow? I know it can be done, but don't need myself but for you to do it would be great. Offer your services for what you are good at and maybe you will find something or look for jobs online and maybe that will get you a job. Hoping and praying you find one soon and get hired.
