Strangled by the Pines…

On sand covered backwoods roads,

Where darkness to hikers bodes,

The silence deafening, only the sound of toads,

The pines overhead have their own codes…

They overhang & attempt to cut off the breath,

Grabbing at peoples bodies and heads,

They attempt to scratch paint jobs on 4x4’s,

Better it is to safely stay home in your beds…

No fear have some, but missing anyway they go,

Sucked they are below the sands, their memory does away blow,

Warned all are to stay in the middle of the trail,

Rather then to become the reason for the pines,

Having an odor that some have called quite stale…

You obviously don't know the Ancient Pine Password, so I wouldn't venture into any deep, dark piney woods if I were you. But if you send lots of cash, I may give it to you, Bro!

Around Scandinavia you have more pines (Norwegian=furu) than Rufuz can salute in thousand lifetimes.
I like to go around the pine forest, but the trees bend aways from me when I go by since my deodorant was outsold.

I love the North woods of pine, the soft needle floor, the aromic smell, the whisper of the winds through the branches and the secret stories that the pines keep to themselves...great write.

In the End: Apocalyptic Poetry by Debra Kraft

In the end they'll all be dancin'--all them ones that didn't die.... Dance with me in the shadows amidst the lightning and the thunder, and all that nu-cu-lar debris. See the big bang from the other side, and then open that cellar door. Go down into
