The Jersey Devil is on the prowl…

Happy Halloween.....................

Poem Artwork

Around All hallows eve,

The jersey devil does prowl,

Exiting the pine barrens does he,

Looking for unsuspecting humans,

Capturing them before they do flee…

A human is a good meal,

Running his claws up & down their bodies,

Giving them the best massage feel,

They will ever know, just before they die…

Starting with the brain,

Then to the eyes, a delicacy,

He then saves the tongue,

To chop up & mix with the innards,

Taking the human back to his lair,

Allowing it to cure while from his roof it is hung…

So be cautious while traversing the barrens,

This season of the devil belongs only to him,

Also he will be searching for children,

They being for dessert, so tender & full of baby fat,

The little one’s will be found in his curing vat…

Gobbled up my cousin and his family in the Barrens years ago. At least he turned up in northern Wisconsin, unscathed except for his pride.

Ma says that's the best picture you've taken in years - but stay away from that baby fat or you're gonna gain all that weight back. She's sending you her recipe for skinny old people.

In the End: Apocalyptic Poetry by Debra Kraft

In the end they'll all be dancin'--all them ones that didn't die.... Dance with me in the shadows amidst the lightning and the thunder, and all that nu-cu-lar debris. See the big bang from the other side, and then open that cellar door. Go down into
