Dedicated in special loving memory to Michael McNulty (1968-2005), and to all the members of our nation's special forces and their families.
Sons, fathers, brothers, friends
With homes, bills, debts, obligations
Living normal lives stateside
Just like everyone else
Not weekend warriors
Or active soldiers
No longer claimed
By any government office
They leave their mundane lives
To fight the secret wars
Never televised or broadcasted
But happening none the less
These troops that face death
To bring us peace
Hide in the shadows
Of the bright sunlight
Their feats unknown
Their deaths uncelebrated
Pain that cuts deep
In the hearts of those left
Who will cherish their memories
As their years pass by
But the minds of the family
Who knew the invisible heroes

A Beautiful and Heartwarming tribute and I will Always remember them The invisible heroes, Thanks to you they are not invisable. not at all. This is so Loving such an honest reminder of all they do and give up so selflessly.

The extremely bad thing is that they can't tell their family members about all the good they've done until they come home and even then they're not supposed to tell. A much needed write to give tribute to all of those that have to stay invisible!
