Poem Artwork

I don’t have much to offer you
No shiny, expensive cars
That will carry us off into the sunset
But I know that my love will
Take you wherever you want to go

I have no money to speak of
No trips to isolated islands
In the depth of the freezing cold
But my heart is warm enough
To melt the ice from the air

I have no prospects in progress
No multi-million dollar contracts
Will make the stars look for me
But my soul is famous with love
To give life all the fame you need

I have no home in the woods
No secluded, wooded mansion
To hide us away from the world
But I only need a roof
To make a home with you

I don’t have presents for you
No chocolates, wine or roses
To woo your lovely heart to me
Just a few clever phrases
To sway your heart to me

So I don’t have much to offer
But on this day I ask one thing
That you will look beyond the norm
And spend your life and love with me

Please be my Valentine
Not only today but forever
And our luck will be our peace
And our love will be our fortune

Awe, this is just beautiful...sounds a lot like my husband, can offer himself and an I love you, a small token of his affection to show his love..but you know you've penned it well my friend, this is what true love if founded on and built upon, it is what helps true love stand the tests of time...great write! Glad I stopped by...

Not only did you just give me the greatest present on this Earth but just being able to cuddle up with you is the greatest present on Earth!
