Aunt Chrissie was a major factor, and the only person in my life at the time that I could turn to, and I’m proud to write and let people know how much she meant to me, and why I write so much about her She told me that if I go out in to the world and do good then it would be returned four fold.
Aunt Chrissie Aunt Chrissie our mother, our friend Looked after us, cared for us Nurtured us, saw that we were fed She talked to us, and listened when we spoke Laughed with us when we were happy Cried with us when we were sad Aunt Chrissie deaf and blind Her life was hard and cruel She was strong and kind Instilled in us right from wrong Stood stalwart at our side when we strayed Taught us to see the world around us Showed us how to be brave Her laughter on the swings Creaking chains can still be heard Aunt Chrissie I know you’re at my side Helping me, coaxing me, while I write I’ve tried to be the best for you Tried with all my might I’ve strayed from your guiding hand Your teachings of yesteryear Forgiveness is your wondrous light Please don’t shed a tear Save a place for me, on your right Mike Coatesworth

My aunt Min (MIldred) was my idol when growing up. She covered up he tears in my dresses from Mom, my fights with my cousin her daughter, and Donna says her Mom always took my part over hers. WHy, because I was the oldest by 2 years?
