I have cried when sad

And moured

For many things

You then came along

And wrapped me tight

In loving wings

I shed many tears

For pity and shame

I so needed peace

For a past

I could not change

You have embraced me

At times of bitter shame

When I felt your touch

I then forgot all pain

You also gave me vision

To see things clear

So I could let  the past go

To keep the future near

I did cry for yesterday 

And mourn for the tomorow

That never came

But you need to have a past

To be able to cherish future gain
