Poem Artwork

When I am buried in the soil

Do you see a butterfly flutter

And hear a song bird bird call

Do you see a sparkle in the crisp white snow

And also watch a flower open petals as it grows

When I am buried in the soil

Do you see a star twinkle in the sky

Then do you suddenly hear a new born baby cry

And do you see a bird spread it's wings and fly

When I have been placed in the ground below

Do not weep because I did not go

Do not cry because you think I am there

Take a look around

I am now everywhere

Do not stand at my grave and cry

Instead hold my memories close to your heart

And remember I know that you will always care

So please step away from my grave

Because I am not  ' There '

An interesting philosophical view. Do you hear a song bird's call from the grave? I think not, but your poem says you do.
