If sunshine were four - leaf clovers,
My friend, you are Sun! Sugar
And space, and all that’s twice-told;
Snips and tails and kitten wails,
And all a life can hold.
If soil were a tomato plant,
My friend, you are Earth! Fecund
And sowed and birthed, thrice-told;
Friends behold a miracled take,
As much as a life can hold.
If air were a garden-fair,
My friend, you are Atmosphere! Humid
And ripe and gorgeously timed, fore-told;
Cats and dogs gather at your gate,
As many as a life can hold.
If fluid was a swirling Moon,
My friend, you are Water! Vaporous
Embryos rise to greet full dawn! Proudly bold,
Jacket-backed, we all subscribe to water,
Fated to how a seeded-life unfolds.
If life can hold a soul like you,
My friend, you are Life! Vivid
And sassy, classy, garden-nailed, I hold
Flowers and you, my love, in the air we make
As much as our lives can hold.

point...with an enduring message of love...
Thank you Erin, for sharing your poem.
Been awhile. This is what should be found under "Poetry" in the dictionary. Beauty personified. It's good to see your words, they are full of life - as much as a poem can hold.
