My Secret Garden
I developed a secret garden,
where I go to giggle
and visit all my nature friends
they are the ones who keep me sane
I have a secret garden,
often it's my domain
and I call it my Eden
I have a secret garden,
everyone is there in its season,
especially when they need to be smitten
by nature’s reason
and gone through a transformation
My secret garden was made
from a dried up field near a house
where junk was placed and unkempt
then I bought the place
threw the junk into the dumpster
and sat in my imaginary view
built the secret garden without any glue
It became the place for me
sitting in awe of its beauty
admiring its life
connecting to its amity
I nurtured that garden,
I planted flowers everywhere,
I completed that garden,
with little leprechauns here and there.
Now that I’ve grown older,
my secret place flairs with wisdom
and is no longer a secret where
Pink flowers are blossoming everywhere,
gone is the junk
Singing are the birds.
Happy are the garden lovers
will you keep it safe?
Will you nurture my nature friends
when I am away?
