In theater where every actor
Relates drops to the audience
Like a lyric from a song
Under which lies
In a memory from Cuba
By an artist beyond the pale
Upon which Palestine lies
By a river who runs
For a time whose sound bites scream
Out of the nightmares of our times
Forced in bullets and knives
Into stanzas between the barbed wire
Of children and the press of flesh
Op-Ed-out in the media
At the sound of laughing and crying
There is no coloring the time of the time
