This poem is about a mother's grief and inner blame from a miscarriage.

 I can never put flowers
On your grave.
Or touch the smooth coldness
Of your tombstone.

Even if you did have a grave,
The stone would be bare.
There would be no nmaes or dates you lived,
Because you were never born.

You never loved,
But you were loved by me.
You never saw the world, or even me.
Any part you saw of me was deep and dark inside.

Death took you away,
To a place I will someday reach.
A place where your infantant beauty
Is brighter than the stars around you,
And you gently rest your head on the Morning Star.

But you are there, and I am here.
Worlds apart
Until the day we are reunited.

There is a place wher the memory of you is.
Here, in my heart, there is a fresh grave.

I'm so sorry for that loss to whomever it is. whether the child is born or not, they are your child. Grief is the same. It's so easy to say, don't blame yourself, the mother whoever she is on the miscarriage. People don't understand that you can tell the person a million times that they are not guilty, but it does not take the feeling away. Until the mother, the parents realize that no matter what, it was not their fault. But like I said, I could say it all day, but it won't mean anything to that person. They have to realize it their self. I feel for them. So sorry.

It is so easy to sympathize with someone who has lost when the reader has lost as this also. I am not a mother but I, as a father, lost a son (not via miscarriage) but on the very day he was born.
