Folding up some happy thoughts
to wish you all sublimes -

A birthday kiss is sent your way,
my lipstick on this finger,
to thank you all for such rich writes
that ever with us linger.
This ain't no Hebrew nor good Greek -
in fact it is quite tragic;
I hate to think wot I'd be like
without your daily magic!

WOW, Karen... a birthday to remember, huh?! Talk about ALL the emotions being stirred up - one extreme of exhilaration to the other of great empathy and compassion. Well, that just about sums the pair of you up - if you ever COULD be put into a nutshell (impossible really!). I am so glad that the WHOLE experience was yours to mark your very special day. In fact, a whole weekend of it - television, too! But fighter planes and war vets must have been sumthin else. Here's lookin at YOU, Tornada Kid! :)) C'est a moi le plaisir... mwah! xx K xx
This is too cute; thank you for the good birthday wishes! I was just telling Nordette how our day went, and we had a wonderful time! We went shopping and out to eat (Chinese), and we got some books and money for our birthday. We even got "caked" (our job's idea; Karla and I got our faces into some cake--literally; it was disGUSting! LOL). We also went to a military celebration for injured and disabled vets, and it was very moving; and we also saw fireworks and saw a flyover featuring 4 F-18's. It was very exciting, but boy, those jets were LOUD!! LOL We even got to go to church; and it was neat! They had some special goings-on for the vets who were injured or disabled in the Iraq war--but all vets were saluted!--, and it went on Saturday and yesterday. We were even on the news, we were on television!! :)
Wonderful tribute to the "birthday trio"; very well done, Kate; we shall treasure this always!
