From "Riding the Absolute"
THIS KIND OF HUNGER Love poems notwithstanding I go for the possibility of your eyes your arms your implacable breasts This kind of hunger draws us to the center before any chance of warning to the archives of flesh & seed This kind of hunger starves the blood We trace the contours of our total universe, your paradise of flowers & undiscovered streams, my unruly itch It is more than possibility: some ravenous motive takes shape inside you I am about to undo the dark red of it you are so brittle & unsuspecting I am about to commit love There are no accidents between us -- we are a collision of swollen words your hair is a metaphor caressing me your eyes brown crystals How I love to awake & find you doing unprintable & sacred things with your mouth

Love poems not withstanding this is an excellent one. I particularly love
"undo the dark red of it" very nice wording. You are guilty of commiting love!
