This intimate poem was written for my bear-artist friend:



Poem Artwork

She stuffed him with love’s strife,


Gave him “breath,” gave him “life.”


Once here, now he is gone


From the shelf he sat upon.


 


The mother and the bear were born.


Both artists of the heart now mourn.


Seemed great heaven moved away


When her bear was bought one day,


So it was the teddy bear


Found life in all of those who care.

That reminds me of a bear poem I have, Sara. I must put it up!
A lovely, quiet piece, with no tricks, but it touches the heart.

Very intimate indeed--a tribute to a woman who takes pride in what she does and loves her creations (this is what I see here). This is a very real look at the artisan's and their crafts and how money can't put value on the love that they weave into their craft. J.
