Apparition photograph taken by Theresa Jodray.
Bringing me from ignorance, to reality
Then leading me from dullness into Illumination
Please lead me from being mortal to Immortality
Guiding me from evil, into the light
Taking me by the hand showing me all that's right
Please lead me from being mortal to Immortality
Show me the way to walk, not to stumble in the dark
Tell me the path to take to follow in your way
Please lead me from being mortal to Immortality
Hear me when I call not knowing it all then teach me
Whisper in my ear the things I should see clear
Please lead me from being mortal to Immortality
Hold me in your grasp when my heart beats its last
Let my earth time here surpass the expectations from my last
Please lead me from being mortal to Immortality
Bring me from ignorance always guiding me from evil
Show me the way to walk, hearing me when I call, holding me
Please lead me from being mortal to Immortality

beyond the written words that are a form of immortality, there is your essence...like a breath, it changes everything, from those nearest you, it will procreate into eternity...(from a new write of mine, but I think it fits here.)
Though for once I'd love to hear a big voice to boom down, take a right at the next light, a left at the DairyMart... instructions from above come less directly. If they didn't, we wouldn't have such lovely prayers for guidance, so perhaps it's a blessing. Very nice poem.
