Photograph of Alaskan Railroad and Blueberry Bushes taken by Theresa Jodray in Denali Park.
Stark beauty disturbed by the rumble of the Alaskan railroad
Doesn’t take away the moment as the Athabaskan woman

Sets you back a moment in this century as you witness this

Arranges all around you and sets you back in time
As the Alaskan railroad rumbles across the terrain
You can feel legends passed along from mother to daughter
As this same scene has passed hands from generation to generation
This traditional passage shows one side of the nature of the Athabaskan

You always take the perfect picture for your poem Terri! Then follow it up with a most lucid writing. You are at your zenith, but I know you will reach higher levels. Bill Murray ((hugs))

Beautiful, Teri! I used take round trips from Anchorage. They had Single's Express parties too, with a band in a boxcar. The photo is so familiar. Sometimes, in the summers, I miss Alaska. Thank you!
