Shadows of the past haunt my mind How could I have been so blind? Creeping slowly yet so still Why do memories frighten still? What possessed me then and now To be held down by a hollow soul Screams and pain from times long gone Still continue linger on Shadows of the past sneak in Whispers of what happened then They're to carry with me still Like a psychedelic pill Aching in my heart they stay Let them free leave me I pray As a reminder of hideous things That should only happen in a dream Shadows of memories past Replaying on they last an last
