The Great Spirit is in all things: he is in the air we breathe. The Great Spirit is our Father, but the earth is our mother. She nourishes us; that which we put into the ground she returns to us - Big Thunder (Bedagi) Wabanaki Algonquin

Standing on this edge Father I hear a distant crying from the canyon What whispers through the Mother Earth? At the upcoming written devastation Man sits and thinks what now But why question this? As yesterday uncaring They put destruction into place Sending messages to the wind Now one only may pray for lost souls Soon the lines form to your door Pray for those choosing wrong roads Vibrations from the Earth Mother Reaching upward to your light Father reaching down to her One feels frightened in their sight The Great Spirit is in all things: he is in the air we breathe.
