Poem Artwork

Everyone such a slave to time.

Sitting here in quiet meditation,so sublime.

I sometimes focus on what it's like to be free.

Let my spirit expand beyond... me

Tanning on white sand by the salty sea

.To have no cares, weights, or deadlines,

To have no guilt wasting precious time.

So I take my ten minutes each morning and night.

So much to do, the internal fight.

Sitting, breathing on my little rug.

I shift my perception, giving my soul it's hug.

All these thoughts swim in my mind.

I breathe them away, the quiet I accept &

I find.

Being my peaceful, restful spirit,

the sea gull calls, I can hear it.

Then the universe opens her Mothers arms.

So safe, so at peace within her charms.

I ask her to come and sit in my heart.

To lift away the burdens I cart.

To the path of peace and kind.

Mind , body, spirit the balenced trine.

Yes, I have read a few of your postings, and I agree to be balanced it must be mind body and spirit, of course.
The Power of Attraction, finding your center, loving your inner being, it's all predestined but we can have some joy along our journey. You should post some new works, I would love to know what you have been doing since this poem was written.
Namaste,
Amber

Nice description of meditation. I love the lines "I breathe them away" and "lift away the burdens I cart." I think I would have ended the poem after the line about "the balanced trine." The last few lines don't add much.

Some wonderful lines. Your ability to maintain freshness in the rhyme scheme made this a joy to read.

Ahhh yes...life is so very short. There is no time to waste it seems...every now and then, just have to go flying by the seat of your pants... :) Good stuff.
