Written for a very special lady indeed. If she only knew her potential....


Poem Artwork

A world oblivious of her daily fear

As she tucks the hair behind her ear

Fixing a face in a mirror that lies

Confident now in red lips of disguise

A flick of a brush to conceal a blemish

Of the flawless imperfection I quite simply cherish

Ready now to face the day

Not believing in herself or the words I say

I look upon her in awe as I reverse the mirror

Revealing reflections of beauty she alone can deliver

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But it is amazing how the mirror and make up can change the outlook of a lady. My wife was an expert at making up. Took her only about 10 minutes to cover all those sins of teenage angst turning her into the professional woman she had become.
