The blue Atlantic rollers
lap upon the shore
the sound of the sandpiper
disturbs the solitude
seashells crackle underfoot
a warm wind blows
upon my bronzed face
A jack rabbit scurries
from within the bracken cover
lonely sheep are bleating
upon the heather clad hills
dragonflies are buzzing
hither here and fro
Wild the anemones grow
on sparse and shallow soil
memories keep invading
my singular soul
parchments from the past
concealing a hidden glow
Boldly I go onwards
true to myself
what's for me won't go by me
my mother always told me
always give it your best shot
whatever you turn your hand too
A grey seal pops its head up
and breaks the water's still
inquisitive eyes peering
towards me on the shore
my heart is full of nostalgia
remembering love's golden thrill
pulsating emotions spilling
knowing you were mine
captured forever
within the frames of time
unconditional love
given freely with a smile
I settle on a sand dune
and gaze far out to sea
rekindling fond feelings
hidden from view
a gannet soars across the bay
silohuetted by the setting sun
emptiness fills my being
recalling joyful scenes long ago
wondering how time did pass
so quickly with no show
Grasp your opportunities
is the lapwing's cry
and savour every single moment
of love's eternal refrain
cherish these blessings
while there's still sand
left inside the glass of life

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
