Its good when you have a foot on the pedal On Easy.Street is a great place to be Every sunbeam lands on your face Raindrops are tears from Heaven And my heart slides into cruise control As Californian sun slants over the bluff Everything is going my way No problems I envisage As contentment beats through my veins Joshua trees dot the terrain And a snake slithers lazily into view Knowing this moment Is the fraction of a recurring dream Way cool is the feeling inside As I sip delicious blackcurrant juice Wiping my brow in the midday sun I travel with the greatest of ease Shimmering horizon of the Mohave desert I know I am in full control For all flows in divine rhythm When you step out in harmony Copyright by Peter Paton 2005

Oh! how I love the Mojave. It is stark and breathtaking and on a clear evening as you lay back and marvel at all those stars and shooting stars, you feel as though you are one with the universe and that you could reach out your hand and touch the moon. Daytime there is fun if it is not in the heat of summer. You can often get your own private air show as the men and women from Edwards AFB train in all those cool fighter jets at low elevations for you. Great write, Peter.
