For sense and decency
Or the season — 
That had both.

Potential

For days to last

Beyond ceaselessly

Towards some reason — 

Or silent growth.

Probable

That we still ask

For emergency

Aid for the lesion —

Of our sentimental oath.

Perhaps

One kind task

Is protecting creativity’s

Human expression — 

In words, in notes.
