Can�t you see You ask the question Making truths out of lies Seeing something that isn�t there Optical illusion gone bad Or emotions out of control Open your eyes Facts are facts Yesterday is not today And tomorrow shows No signs of yesterday Give it up Accept it for what it is Thinking you can force it To go your way When it�s your dream alone It takes two to tango And your dance partner Has left the stage If you truly believe It can happen again You�re delusional

Yep, it is what it is. I have a friend who says the cliche frequently, "Denial's not just a river in Egypt." My son hates the saying, but I've told him, "Some things stick around because they hit the mark." Your poem certain did. ~~Nordette
