Poem Artwork

Images

if I could put us in an Kodak black and white

you in pigtails me with Brylcreemed hair

sitting on a porch swing playing make believe

it would be so easy to see us sitting there

if I could put you and I into a Polaroid snap

would be at the Junior's Friday sock hop

then back seat make-out parking at the lake

at least until you told me when to stop

if I could capture us in a digital format

blown up on my computer screen

girl you know it would capture rapture

of the like you and I have never seen

if we could see each other on a web cam

what a thrill it would surely be

to see your voice coming from your lips

saying over and over you love me

ahhh but if I could see you some day in person

if I could hold you in my arms so tight

I would trade all the pictures in the world

to share your warmth for just one night...

Thank you for the memories Fee. This took me on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, and even though there are dark memories in there too, there are some lighter memories of my pre-adolescence. If only I had the pictures from those years. A wonderful, light romp through the ages.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

This is incredible perspective, the way you realize your dreams in freedom on the page, the innocent to the exotic. Brilliant!

I have those thoughts. Mine travel to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Life got in the way of a wonderful thing. Much to my everlasting regret.

I liked the progression of your thoughts within the structure of the beseeching poem, Felix.
