Summers Afternoon Dreaming
Dreaming weathered cottage on the shore
Hints of summer breeze in afternoon air
Unraveling mysteries of your heavenly body
Like God himself painted you lying there
Don’t think Leonardo could have painted
The smile that melts my wanting heart
Nor could a photographer begin to capture
They really wouldn’t know where to start
Sitting in a chair I watch you sleeping
Never knew that love could feel this way
I know I probably don't deserve you
Can't always find the right words to say
So I dream my summer time dream of you
Where I tell you from my overflowing heart
There will never be anyone like you for me
I have loved you from the very start....
Always,
Deborah
