He watches her sleep, in a room in his mind
She’s his vision of lovely, two hours behind

Opaque key round his neck opens the door
Tip-toes to her bedside, like so often before

Blankets thrown off, in the warm summer night
God created this beauty, this perfect delight

Ebon hair fanned on pillow, frames angelic face

Little hints of temptation, in the valley below

He offers butterfly kisses, to awake her desire
