In the quiet of the evening, when my kid’s have gone to bed, Is when I stop to ponder, how on earth I am not dead? Another sunrise come and gone, I’ve made it through the day. Oh, how’s a mom to carry on, with so little time for play?
Cooking and cleaning, dirty clothes are piled up on the floor, “I’m hungry, mom” is all I hear, as they file in through the door. The chicken I made yesterday, has got me off the hook. With all the taxi rides I give, who’s got the time to cook?
When I get home from my day job, a school project waits, alas! Am I the only mother still attending science class? And don’t forget the family dog, who’s waiting there for you. He only wants some food and drink, and a little play time too.
Between the chores and lessons, there’s always some activity. I might as well accept the job, since they are counting on me! But when my day is over, and those endless tasks are done, I truly count my Blessings, and thank God for everyone!
Believe me...you are not the only Mother left in science class! I was there everyday for over 20 years..That may have been you I bumped into a few times..who knows? *grin*
Yes Cynthia, a Mother's work is never done, but there is such a grand reward at the end of each task!

Cynthia, this is another typical well-written composition from your “Golden Mother’s Quill.” For it not be for the fantastic mothers like yourself of this spinning world, we all would still be drawing on cave walls… lol. Seriously, I enjoyed reading this timeless treasure, as I know how much love, compassion and effort you put forth to keep everything flowing in the right direction! Thanks for sharing your marvelous work and wonderful sense of humor. You’re an excellent Mom and partner.
