~Under a Solstice Moon ~

Through the trees

moonlight streaming ribbonlike

pooling upon the sand

Warm breezes stirring

across my shoulders

with a caressing hand

Sitting alone

in a jasmine scented night

missing you fills my thoughts

 here in the moonlight

while just below the surface

longings and passions smolder

waiting for your touch

and a release

as erotic emotions grow bolder

love’s velvet juices flow

satisfying the dreams

of a lovers moon

But alas my love

the spell this enchanting

moonlight promises

cannot be fulfilled

as alone we sit

you under a southern sky

and I a northern one

beneath the summer solstice moon
