Your words remind us that God's messengers are frought with heavy burdens in our modern world of discrimination, blood, disease and starvation. Will we never learn? How patient can God be?

Your imagery and turn of phrase pass through the mind and into the heart. Aberjhani, you are, indeed, a poet. A poet to be read and considered.
Love to you,
Richard

You make this Angel so tangibly flesh and blood, a true son/daughter of God clothed in human skin so as to fully be able to know of the suffering and need for relief and release that s/he is ministered to bring. No fanciful whimsy here, but writing that makes angelic beings as accessible as the fleeting stranger who bestows an unsought kindness. Stunning imagery as ever; the stanza about the muscled tears is just incredible... kind of like a reflex and indeed a muscle that is developed through constant load-bearing use. "Your touch: life and death." - the double-edged sword that Mercy needs to yield. Such strength, both poetical and in terms of concept and idea. And your use of the haiku form seems to suit this subject matter so perfectly, making it both mystical and grounded by discipline. For some reason makes me think of the idea of stars/angels in the sky being as pinpricks "through which can be seen the smiling face of God". Astounding write. TY and bless you, LOL Kate xx

How tender and terrible at once, as love and forgiveness, consolation and endurance must be.

God gives his angels strength and we all fly weightless when we believe in Him. Your poetry lifts me as weightless as an angel. Your words set me free.

Pious turning of the soul--+--ANGEL OF MERCY is the incense of the Den today, poetic instrument with which woman and man soar up into the choirs of angels and partake of their blessedness. As sure as the ancient walls that crumbled at Jericho, ANGEL OF MERCY is sure protection from woman's and man's eternal foe-->--devil. It is a spiritual port, an illumination of the mind, the axe which cuts down our despondency, the dispersing of sadness, the birth of hope, the temperance of anger, the intercessor of all those who are judged, and salvation for the dying. As air is for breathing and life, so is ANGEL OF MERCY, Aberjhani.

The first stanza is an astouding image that stopped me dead in my tracks. Each stanza after is like a world unto itself that somehow, mysteriously, merges into the next with the fluidity of a running stream.

I will construe ANGEL OF MERCY as a fine bottle of wine which I have now uncorked and poured my first glass to savor.

Your mention of the sheperd David in his formulative years was a delightful comparison that brought the juxtapose of the real and meta/physical aspects of this construct into a more grounded and spiritual light.

The world stage now, and what is transpiring in the Middle East is affecting everyone in quite profound ways.

I salute you Poet, in fraternity, for your wisdom, insight, and ability to connect your quill with spirit and thoughtfulness.

THIS is as good a rendition of spiritual benevolence that I have ever had the pleasure to read. Aberjhani has this knack of forever touching his readers hearts and is able to pull the strings of compassion like not many can do. There is a phrase within the confines of this masterpiece that just ROCKS me with the strangest feelings, that phrase is "Your tears are muscles, / hinged on wings lunar and solar." I cannot get the image of muscled tears from my mind and I don't think that I want to. Magnificent.
