I go to seek food in the ancient fern and mushroom caps that open multi-flowered from time Millions of spores released on the wind settle on decay spring up stools that will tell you if they're poison I leave those to the croaking toads and follow a trail of wildflowers The cedars drip branches of moss on the north side of their rivered trunks and in a bed of earth I'll sit eat the sweet of uncultivated truth knowing this is the food which sustains me
my soul's hunger is often satisfied by nature's boutiful gifts. this poem refreshed me and reminded me to thank God for the abundant beauty and nourishment of this world. thanks, Lin! Dawn
This is a fine piece of poetry, Lin, that delivered me to a peaceful place where our industrial world has not yet crept upon. Soothing and gentle, this leaves the reader with a very nice afterglow.

It is good to have discernment about what to take in and what to pass. Hopefully along the way we can share the wisdom we glean each day and others will be edified in the exchange.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
thank you!
