Poem Artwork

Brush falls
from the artist’s hand
The unfinished canvas
The foothills painted in blues
wait for memory to glaze them green
Vintage gold
when wheat fields open to the sun

When harvest is done
and the chaff has blown away
When dusty footprints in the fields
are cleansed by rain
The artist
reflecting a myriad of colors
will be washed in light

If only it were that simple, we would all have a reverence for nature and a deep respect for art. I wish it was so.

Beautiful write,

Sheer brilliance! As delicately penned as a watercolour, yet the sights and lines are boldly conceived and vividly sketched. Fabulous conclusion, marrying art and artist to the landscape. Truly living, truly 3D. Thank you. Kate xx

Your images paint a vivid, many layered depiction of the artist and the painting you write of, with a spiritual conclusion:

The artist
reflecting a myriad of colors
will be washed in light
