Poem Artwork

I am gifted by the night
when the norm is sleep
And streets
are a quiet steep in time
Peace envelops me
and is mine
Constant chatter
The rush of life’s
clang filling each hour
is hushed
And the voices within
lost in the din of the day
Are company
when all is done
Company when all
are gone

Peace, quiet, and serenenity are truly gifts and one is fortunate to be able to find them - no matter how deep the night. Thank you, Lin. Love and best wishes,

Even at night quiet can be a rare commodity. You are fortunate to have such a zone where the night owl can consort with the voices to make gifts such as this. Patrick

Nothing beats that slice of heaven, falling asleep cosy and snug then to awaken 8 hrs later refreshed and ready to get up and gooooo.

Gifted, indeed--I'm not sure when line I like the most--certainly drawn to "rush of life's clang filling each hour"

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
