Here are my husband's eyes
Typically looking
Straight ahead
No compromise
(He doesn't care to be
in front of a camera.)
They're solemn in this picture
but they can also smile
I never know which way they'll look today.
I've known my husband more than half my life
And yet I know he still surprises me
And here his eyes
gaze straight ahead
What he sees is clear-
No compromise.
