They say you can not separate girls from their daddies. It’s absolutely true with me – for I share such a bond with my Daddy. He’s taught me so many things – both good and bad. Lol. I picked up most of his habits – again both good and bad. There is so much to say about that great old man. It would probably take me a life time to finish. Growing up in the UK – he introduced me to my first sugar fix. Moving to Botswana, we had our own little traditions, one being reading and listening to the BBC together. He nurtured my love for creativity, bought me so many books I could have my own city library. He can’t even draw a stick person, but to show me support we would draw together – me my lovely paintings, him his stick people with bowls of porridge in their tummy. I am as strong headed as he is and he welcomed this as a challenge – he then taught me how to address and draw people’s attention – my love for debating was then born. He is the most intelligent, funniest, nicest man ever – who thinks he knows everything – lol.

You taught me to stand proud and strong You taught me to be confident and hold my own You taught me not to harbour but move on You taught me to live and love You taught me to embrace and nurture my talents You taught me to be silly, have fun and laugh You taught me that failing is not falling, but refusing to get up when you fall You taught me its okay to dream for dreams do come true if you persevere You taught me to love, honour and believe in God and His Word You told me its okay to be yourself Even if it means being different and the world thinking you are crazy As long as you are yourself, real and you love yourself. You told me no man can love your little girl as much as you do
So when I chose as I should chose carefully and with the Lord’s blessings You told me no man can buy your little girl’s love Diamonds, cars or materials things should not move me but what’s inside You taught me that life is full of choices – the steering wheel is in my hands You are my foundation, my pillars and my beams.

I always wish my Dad was still alive, every time I achieve something I wish he was here to see me. In difficult times I wish he was here to protect and guide me,treasure what you have and never forget to let him know how you treasure him.

This is very beautifully written, and very touching. The love and admiration is apparent in both the photo and the text.
Judging by both of your wonderful smiles in the photo, I would say that your daddy is every bit as proud of you as you are of him...and rightly so.

I think i need to use it and give it to my father.. as you say, girls are always close to their babas. I have tried but never can find words to express my love. gratitude to him for what I am today.... now I have found something close... asante girl.
