She's eyes for you, I know,
rumors you've danced topless
for her,
standing outside our bedroom
window in these backwoods,
peering at her tongue dragging
across my bush of fire, staring
out the window at you, motioning
with her finger coated with me
she'll be coming for you later.
Jolene, Jolene, take her
just because you can.
She's eyes for you, I know,
rumors you've licked the window
glass for her, though she's a
peace-loving Quaker woman
making no mention,
standing outside our bedroom
window in these backwoods,
peering at her putting it to me
as she screws you.
Jolene, Jolene, take her
just because you can.
She's eyes for you, I know.
She's walking out the door
coming for you, meeting
you in your SUV
parked down the dirt road
in these backwoods.
Jolene, Jolene, take her
just because you can
I smell you and your moonshine
whiskey on her breath when she
comes home satisfied until you
knock on our bedroom window.
Jolene, Jolene come inside and
take her this way.
I've eyes for her, she knows,
rumors I've danced topless
for her,
standing outside our bedroom
window in these backwoods,
peering at her tongue dragging
across your bush of fire,
staring out the window at me,
motioning with her finger coated
with you, she'll be coming for me
later.
You musta had Dolly Parton in mind when you penned this beauty! Jolene so happens to be one of my very favorite country music songs (but not Like Coal Miner's Daughterrrrr....*grins*)! Very well done; enjoyed!

Haha!!! Gotta love it, Sage, one of my ALL TIME favorites from Dolly (whadda gal!) Parton all these years. I have inclided Jolene in a novel I am about half through with, that name and Bobbie Gentry's "Fancy" are my two favorite names. As I am wont to say, so I'll say it again, gotta love it!

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
During the 1960's a young soldier struggles with basic training, a bully sergeant and his own inner demons. A tale of struggle, redemption and survival.
