Servitude the Muse Splays Open the Wound

you took a time out
watched a different channel
white noise drowned out rationale
the kale reinvents delicious; that variety
of cabbage with open and curled leaves -

and you a kaleyard novelist
dealing with a humble village
and farm life wishing I would suck
the homespun lesbian life back into you
so we can once again play checkers on the
pink and white gingham; your move

of course a pilsner
unnamed this time poured
from whatever receptacle
with plenty of head alleviates
the muse's scarlatina of clashing rash
my servitude I pour liquid and splay open
the wound so I can drink you like artesian
water you're so thirsty

I've never moved eight inches away from you
