I love going out to eat and asking a waiter or a waitress if I can serve them.

They usually look surprised and ask, "What are you going to serve me?"

My reply: "Do you have a prayer request for you or your family?"

They usually reply, "Yes, you can pray for him ___, her ____ and also for me!"

Sometimes they walk away and say "That’s alright, I am really OK."

Still, they never forget that someone cared enough for them to pray.

After all, when does anyone take the time to serve a waiter?

They are so very busy serving other people all day.

 Like a big fish many lost folks are swimming all around.

When they first encounter Christ they may not get hooked.

But with faith, love and hope, they may still be found.

So next time you go out to eat; be different from the rest.

Ask to pray for the one who serves you.

For when we serve others, we are truly blessed!
