On September 11, 2001 the United States was attacked. But let's not forget what happened right after 9/11, for it's a blessing to recall how Americans reacted. We gathered as a nation united under God and prayed for our future. We helped one another heal and stood up strong against a common enemy. That is the heart and soul of America!

The war on terror has always been on our back door. But 9/11 was a first because we were hit at the core. It was a shock, like a bad movie, but this one was for real. An invisible coward came to from nowhere to kill, destroy and steal. They wanted us to surrender our freedom and the American way. America woke up, we killed the killer. But are we better off today? If we go on as a nation divided we will never again be a nation as one. The days after 9/11 many wounds were healed and miracles happened as people gathered together to pray. There was a strong united spirit in the air, as many prayed for justice and peace for many days. So always remember the victory achieved after 9/11, for it's the heart and soul of the American way! Let us all pray as,“One Nation Under God” and we will rise above all of the tears and fears of yesterday! Amen ©Copyright, 2012, John Michael Domino

It's time to put 9/11 in its historical perspective. We can bicker about how secure we are and make everybody miserable in the process or we can move on and try to make the country freer again. It is only through knowledge that others will learn that what we have is a result of positive thinking and not some ordained right or ordained wrong. If we allow others to be free we will be free.

The "after story" of 911 is a powerful one as you have written here so well. I wish we could come together with that kind of prayer and spirit once again, but our country is weighed down with a sense of apathy and doom. As shock after shock comes from the White House, we act as a nation already completely defeated. So sad!
