My Love, My Love

Love, what I would I do?

My love what would I do if it were not for you?

You gave me new life, yes, a new life was birthed.

You gave me hope when I felt I was not fit for this earth.

I recall the past; when my life was pretty sad.

Then you came along, you gave me joy and I was so glad

Even through many tough times; you stood close by me.

I could count on you always; I was grateful as could be.

I really do not know why you treated me so well.

My life use to be dark and at times, like an empty shell.

Then, when the dust cleared; you helped make my life whole again.

You became a devoted lover, a wife and a very special friend.

Now that we have both grown older; we are still walking hand in hand.

My love, I will cherish you forever; for with you, I am a much better man.
