This written to reflect and remember the days after the anniversary of 9-11.

This is a poetic reflection

for all the days after 9-11.

The USA is still the “Home of the Brave and Land of The Free”

But what does that mean to you and me?

The heart of America is still buried deep inside

It's deep in every firemen, policeman and veteran who served with pride

The world is a better place today because of the American way

Many people still come to our shores, they want to live here and stay!

We been through a lot of heartbreak and pain from sea to shining sea

But we must never forget the people who gave their all for our peace and liberty!

 

God Bless the U.S.A.

Amen!

Most people just want to have a good time and make a living with his little effort as possible. It will take something like World War II again to galvanize spirit and make people do the right thing. I'm not saying there aren't those doing the right thing, Mr. Ed is a prime example of the best of us. What I'm saying is that the majority's thinking is to stay safe and comfortable, with risk-taking primarily for fun and not for a better world.

My father, brothers, uncles, and some aunts served this great nation with pride in a few wars. I'm lucky to be breathing! God bless the U.S.A. indeed!

Great thoughts, John. I appreciate your positive words that are so appropriate on the anniversary of 9/11. It's people such as you who help us all heal. It's strange. I just looked at the time, and it is 9:11.
