Nothing is more peaceful...
than a sleeping child,
when tomorrow
is just another day,
with nothing
to worry about,
when covered
with the blanket
of a mother's lullaby,
softly breathing
the angel is dormant.
The eyes are closed, but,
they are seeing inside...
a dream of a world
with a wonderful sky;
no tears there
just a bunch of smiles
on the children faces
which happiness make shine,
and where if you fall
a scratched knee
doesn't hurt so very much.
Nothing is more peaceful...
than a sleeping child.
What a pleasure it is to read yet one more of your excellent poems, dear Georg! This one is delightful, and pictures, in a vivid and yet delicate way, the beautiful, serene (if rather playful, sometimes!) world of children's dreams.
