This is probably the last time I will be mention Him.
I don't understand Him and I don't wish to.
His misterious ways worked for a while but this sheep isn't going to prance happily to the slaughter house saying thank you because He chose me in His mysterious ways.
A "mercifull" God doesn't need to be so cruel.
I was on my knees
infront of a deaf God,
that wished to hear
all my prayers but not
what they were for.
Iwas on my knees
in front of a mute God,
which was aware
of my despair,
but said...not a word.
I was on my knees
in front of a blind God,
which wandered about
dying little children,
but that...He never saw.
I was on my knees
wanting in the house of God
expecting to find in my shoulder
the hand of the Father,
but that...I never got.
After reading this George, I felt two emotions at the same time, the one that invades, ghastly, in your blasphemy...going against everything I breathe
and the other, sympathy for the soul that's being sucked out of you...Don't give in to such froth...

Blaming God for ones problems, or earth's woes, has been a mindset for millenia George. God did not create earths problems, man did with his own greed and perversion. Deaf God -mute God - blind God - the One true Most High God is none of these things.
God created electricity, man was given the wisdom to discover it. Electricity is a good thing, but many people have died in accidents, or misusing electricity. Any intelligent human would never stick their finger into a wall socket. If they chose to do so, though, they would be excercising the gift of free will to circumvent Gods rules. Being electrocuted would surely ensue this foolish choice. Is that God's fault? I think not!
Some people live their whole life suffering; never getting what they want, they end up blaming God. Do you really think that turning your back on God is going to make your life any better. I think not! You just won't have anyone to blame anymore.
Perhaps your problem with God is a seasonal one ... perhaps you are being taught patience!
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
