I have heard a poet far away crying of hunger; no corner is darker than the one we crawl to hide inside our sadness, loneliness and despondency.
I wish to extend a hand, a honest to God one, to help that bump on the road without it being consider a charity.
It is not the case of teaching somebody to fish instead of give away a fish, it is only how to fill the poets belly today,so, tomorrow the negativity wouldn't weigh so much, and the positive forces would take ove and walk over just an incovenient bump on the road.

Poem Artwork

He wrote...
and wrote,
but nobody read

He cried...
for help,
but no one heard

He called...
many names,
but not person came

He screamed...
with pain,
utterly alone then

He, like a tree...
without a sound,
fell in your forest

Afterward...
they said,
"don't bother,
it was only a poet"

A stunning thought provoking write Georg
I think that the life of a poet is a very
sad and there's lots of loneliness in the soul
Of a poet and many do not understand or notice
Any thing wrong till is to late!!
but the loneliness and sadness and dreams is
What makes a great poet!
This one is my favor for it gives you
Much to ponder!!
Love And Peace to You..Morning Star

if there's no one in the forest can a poet still be heard?

depends on the audience ...

Hmm, very thought provoking write my friend. For the poets life is often a lonely one, or is it that we are not fully appreciated by those whom do not understand, and often are overlooked until death comes our way...as stated a thought provoking write my friend! Well written and well expressed, few words with so much said, and unsaid leaving the imagination to run rapid with your thoughts...always a joy to read your work my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling

Lonliness is a wound that never heals unless that healing comes from within, but at times it is enough to simply know that we really do matter to someone else, to pull us out of our funk. Good job!
Take care,
Sherry

Lonliness a poet's torch at times...
If only some would do as we write and listen to what we say they're lives may be brighter,,Loved it,

Michael

Oh what a poignant and meaningful write, Georg -- your wonderful heart of gold is showing here. Well written, and full of thoughts to ponder, as I've felt like this same poet, too, at times.
Love,
CJ

In the words of the poet we can hear what is seen. We speak to each other in sight not in sound if we can only listen with our eyes. good write! Lady J

"SILENCE" has talked and has said it: An archetype of a reality. Its author made the first call, and we can hear and listen to it ~ and sing out for the difference.

The difference is showed, and "SILENCE" is the picture... Cooperative attitude is the face for those that know the way to prosperity and gratitude.

Thank You, Poet.
