Suddenly it is there, under a few socks in the back of a drawer, forgotten, like the socks that are walking no more.

Poem Artwork

Life is like a pretty picture card
received a very long ago,
showing the colors of dreams
that exist in an out of reach world:
now it is a postcard from nowhere,
getting wrinkled, brownish...
getting old.

Simply profound in its own right...your write...

Life gathers and then stands the test of time for awhile
...and then there are others to follow...always changing, always remembered, even if it comes in bits and pieces for all tomorrows!
Thoughts wander...
Keep um' coming Georg~
Love and Peace~

I've been finding a few of those myself.

Short, sweet one, Georg. Enjoyed reading, as always.

Wonderful imagery, enjoyed this write...allowed me to recall a memory of a picture that I recently found, time had faded the color as time also fades our memories. But the picture allowed me to recapture the memory that had almost faded away with time. Great write, love the feeling of the write!
Blessings,

Very thought provoking write. In my life post cards always seem to make you want that dreamy place yet it truly shows nothing of the real life of the place. Life does get old and wither away on the outside. Truly then any true beauty shines from within. More need to work on that before their withered time arrives and youngful beauty has left them. How true, if we let it. Maybe it's time we all make some new colorful postcards and discard the old ones.
